Job summary

Oracle is seeking engineers to design, implement, and optimize components of distributed systems with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and operability. You will deliver features, perform load and performance tests, and review peers’ work for scalability compliance.

The role involves fault-tolerant design, recovery planning, and proactive monitoring across cloud infrastructure. You will develop automation and IaC, apply security controls, and contribute to incident response and RCAs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable distributed systems.
• Experience implementing load tests and performance testing.
• Knowledge of security controls (encryption, access) for multi-tenant environments.
• Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements components for distributed systems with emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and operability.
• Leads and contributes to system design reviews for scalability and reliability.
• Implements fault-tolerant paths, replication, and automatic failover mechanisms.
• Develops automation scripts and IaC for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Builds dashboards, telemetry, alarms, and runbooks for incident response and monitoring.
• Participates in change management and security compliance across cloud infrastructure.
