Job summary

Oracle’s OCI Networking team is expanding to design and operate distributed control-plane and observability software across data centers and WANs. You will apply real-time observability with AI/ML techniques to enable automated decision-making at scale.

The role collaborates with network engineering, cloud platform teams, and resilience groups to deliver reliable, scalable services that enhance OCI reliability and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of core algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with distributed systems, fault tolerance, and real-time state management.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Rust for service-oriented architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate distributed control-plane and observability software for data center and WAN orchestration.
• Develop algorithms for route computation, congestion management, fault isolation, traffic steering, and recovery.
• Build systems that correlate real-time signals and trigger safe automated responses.
• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant, secure services that operate reliably at OCI scale.
• Drive incident analysis and resolution across distributed systems and real-time network state.
• Maintain architecture and operational documentation for evolution and procedures.
• Collaborate with cloud platform teams including compute, networking, storage.
• Contribute to a fast-growing team and strategic initiatives.
