Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale distributed backend services that power mission-critical workloads. You will architect core platforms, focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and clean engineering practices.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of backend experience with distributed systems, proficiency in Java/Go/Scala, and hands-on Kafka and cloud platform expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend engineering experience, with significant time on distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka.
• Experience operating systems at scale, including capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong debugging and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Architect data partitioning, replication, and consistency strategies.
• Build resilient APIs and event-driven services with observability and graceful degradation.
• Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and cost via profiling and load testing.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote code quality and operational rigor.
• Drive reliability improvements with SRE and platform teams.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks.
