Job summary

Leon Financial, LLC is seeking an experienced professional to source and close discounted payoff opportunities in commercial real estate. You will cover banks, credit unions, private debt funds, and CMBS special servicers while coordinating with borrowers and sponsors to structure viable, financeable outcomes.

You will own from initial outreach through closing, including negotiation of terms and documentation, with a focus on risk-adjusted returns and a proactive, autonomous approach.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years originating, acquiring, or resolving commercial real estate credit.
• Proven track record sourcing distressed or special situations CRE opportunities directly from lenders or loan sale processes.
• Direct experience negotiating and closing discounted payoffs, note purchases, or non-performing loan acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain direct coverage of institutions holding distressed and sub-performing CRE loans.
• Develop relationships with loan sale advisors, restructuring advisors, and workout counsel.
• Identify borrowers with maturing or defaulted loans where a discounted payoff or recapitalization is viable.
• Originate discounted payoff transactions from first contact through funded close.
• Maintain a pipeline of distressed debt opportunities aligned with risk-adjusted returns.
• Represent Leon Financial in the market with lenders, servicers, sponsors, and intermediaries.
• Structure takeout capital including senior secured bridge loans, mezzanine debt, and recapitalizations.
