Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and develop next-generation display modules for consumer electronics. You will own architecture, interface definitions, tolerances and validation plans across cross-functional teams and suppliers.

The role emphasizes robust mechanical design, material qualification, manufacturing processes, and high-yield production support, including international travel (~15%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in materials, solid mechanics, statics, physics and thermodynamics.
• Experience leading mechanical design and validation.
• 3D/2D modeling in Pro/E, NX, CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Experience with diverse manufacturing techniques and materials.
• Familiar with failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define module mechanical architecture from cross-functional requirements.
• Interface with system teams for fit, assembly features, and tolerances.
• Develop specifications including 3D/2D drawings; support product from development to launch.
• Lead validation plans for ME characteristics; perform failure analyses and drive corrective actions.
• Work with suppliers and travel internationally (~15%).
