Job summary
Apple is seeking a world-class module design engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead the development and qualification of next‑generation display technology and products. You will collaborate with multi‑functional teams from concept to prototype, validate designs, and drive system-level performance improvements through rigorous testing, analysis, and cross‑functional reviews.
Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in optical design and simulation, hands‑on experience with measurement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EE/Optics/Physics/Materials science with 10+ years of experience.
- Experience in optical design, simulation, and characterization.
- Experience leading engineering builds and test readiness across development phases.
- Experience with data acquisition/analysis tools (Python, LabVIEW) and optical simulation tools.
Responsibilities
- Define and review architecture, module specs and performance requirements with test/qualification plans.
- Develop simulation models and hardware test vehicles; validate designs and analyze data.
- Collaborate with system architecture to translate requirements into optical targets and trade-space analyses.
- Work with cross-functional teams to validate display modules and drive corrective actions.
- Demonstrate strong project management, technical communication and teamwork.
- Host supplier meetings to drive engineering activities to milestones.
- Investigate new display/illumination technologies and generate new approaches.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
