Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Lead Discovery Toxicology role to drive early-stage small molecule programs. The candidate will design and execute in silico, in vitro, and in vivo studies, interpret hazards, and guide candidate progression with strong regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities include cross-functional collaboration, clear communication with stakeholders, and the development of risk mitigation strategies to support rapid, safe development of therapies.

Qualifications

• PhD in Toxicology, Pathology, or related field with 5+ years experience; or MS/BS with 15+ years applicable experience.
• Strong project management skills required.
• Knowledge of drug discovery and regulatory guidelines (GLP, FDA, EMA).

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery toxicology projects for small molecule candidates and interpret hazards.
• Design and execute in silico, in vitro, and in vivo studies; analyze data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery of development candidates.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and develop risk mitigation strategies.
