Job summary

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services seeks a Senior Emergency Services Coordinator to lead the Disaster Analysis Unit and coordinate recovery operations across Cal OES, state, federal, and local partners. This role develops recovery actions, briefs, and training materials to support long-term disaster response and recovery.

Responsibilities include organizing resources, leading special assignments, and ensuring alignment with state disaster recovery objectives and policy

Qualifications

• Broad working knowledge of state emergency management services and operations.
• Experience with Public Assistance, Individual Assistance, Fire Management Assistance Grant, and Hazard Mitigation Grant Programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead for the Disaster Analysis Unit.
• Coordinate recovery projects and incidents with Cal OES, state, federal, and local partners.
• Prepare Governor’s Office actions, briefs, and training materials.
• Develop recovery planning documents, assessments, and financial incentive work.
• Lead and organize resources to support pre- and post-disaster recovery objectives.
