Job summary

Disability Rights Florida seeks a Managing Attorney to protect and advocate for the civil rights of people with disabilities in institutions, communities and schools across Florida.

Your leadership will oversee both attorney and non-attorney staff, supervise legal work and ensure effective delivery of services, advocacy, and outreach that improve lives and opportunities for those served.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years as an attorney, civil rights experience preferred.
• Florida Bar member and good professional standing.
• Ability to supervise both attorneys and non-attorney staff.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee attorney and non-attorney staff under the Team Director.
• Provide legal supervision of assigned advocate/investigator work.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings, state/federal courts, and agencies.
• Engage in advocacy, education, outreach and disability-related services.
