Job summary

State of Oklahoma seeks a Disability Program Specialist IV to lead disability programs and client advocacy statewide. You will perform case management, provide information and referrals, and assist clients in resolving issues through mediation or negotiation.

The role emphasizes program development, staff supervision, and compliance guidance, with travel to state locations as required. A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are required, along with Adobe Experience Manager and MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience involving disability programs, employment development, guidance and counseling, civil rights administration or employee relations, with two years in a program for the disabled or an equivalent combination.
• Familiar with Adobe Experience Manager and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting disability programs; ability to analyze and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, implements and coordinates programs related to functional disabilities; researches issues and disseminates information statewide.
• Provides case management and counseling to clients; assists with information referral and services.
• Provides technical assistance on compliance, policies, and structural changes for disabilities.
• Assists clients with civil complaints or legal remedies through mediation or negotiation.
• Conducts needs assessments, analyzes data and prepares reports.
• Gathers employment resources and coordinates staff for events statewide; coordinates workshops.
