Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SSA Act rules and regulations
• Understanding of medical evaluation terminology
• Ability to analyze and review disability records
• Experience with case management and writing medical assessments

Responsibilities

• Perform medical and vocational determinations for SSA disability claims
• Evaluate evidence of illness or disability and determine functional limitations
• Prepare detailed medical analyses and residual functional capacity assessments
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists and other staff on complex cases
• Mentor staff and provide medical training to ensure consistency of determinations

MD/DO in physical or psychological medicine
