Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York & Northern New Jersey (GWNYNJ) seeks a Senior Director of Workforce and Community Engagement to provide strategic leadership across employment, recovery, peer leadership, and systems transformation initiatives in NYC.

The role supervises program directors and staff, partners with funders and employers, and ensures compliance with contracts and quality standards while advancing equitable, person-centered workforce innovation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; licensure or advanced certification preferred.
• 5+ years in behavioral health or workforce development leadership.
• 3+ years supervising managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with IPS Supported Employment preferred.
• Experience leading multiple programs and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans to advance employment and workforce initiatives.
• Oversee operations across Behavioral Health Workforce and Community Engagement.
• Build relationships with funders, government agencies, and employers.
• Ensure contract compliance and quality standards.
• Prepare reports for funders and leadership.
• Lead and coach directors and multidisciplinary staff.
• Drive continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.
