Job summary

Gartner, Inc. seeks a senior advisor to guide clients on warehouse and fulfillment systems, AI-enabled logistics, and vendor evaluation. You will help shape research, strategy, and practical recommendations for mission-critical supply chain priorities.

You will develop presentations, contribute to magic quadrants and market guides, and support client briefings and conferences. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in systems and solutions to automate and optimize warehousing and distribution.
• Extensive familiarity with WMS systems and multiple vendors’ WMS solutions.
• Experience with warehouse automation, WCS/WES, and warehouse robotics.
• Experience with AI in warehouse applications (Agentic AI, Embedded AI, Gen AI).
• Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to interact with all organizational levels.
• Strategic thinker with analytical skills and curiosity for digital supply chain innovations.
• Willingness for 10–20% travel; collaborative in a geographically diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Provide actionable advice on business cases, vendor selection, evaluation, and implementation of warehouse systems.
• Research and write about evolving warehouse technologies and AI, and create visuals for presentations.
• Advise on selection of specialty consultants and systems integrators.
• Contribute to Gartner research and market guidance on logistics tech and AI.
• Prepare and deliver high-value presentations at Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support sales as part of the Gartner Supply Chain sales cycle.
• Lead or participate in advisory sessions, virtual workshops, and forums.
• Review peers' research and support team members; participate in research discussions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in information systems, supply chain/logistics, or computer science
