Job summary

Talen Energy is seeking a Senior Director of Power Generation Development to lead origination, development, and execution of utility-scale thermal and storage projects from screening to commercial operation. The role focuses on building a diverse portfolio of gas-fired generation and battery storage with emphasis on PJM markets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in power generation, infrastructure, or energy project development.
Experience leading utility-scale gas-fired and battery energy storage projects.
Familiarity with aeroderivative and large-frame gas turbine technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle development of utility-scale generation projects from origination to commercial operation.
Develop portfolio strategy for gas-fired generation and battery energy storage in PJM and nearby markets.
Coordinate multiple development workstreams, including permitting, interconnection, and land, fuel supply, and water.
