Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Director, Imaging Clinical Research Physician to lead the clinical development of diagnostic radiopharmaceutical imaging programs across oncology, immunology and cardiovascular diseases.

This role spans from early phase studies through registration trials and requires a translational physician-scientist with expertise in molecular imaging and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor with board eligibility or certification in a relevant specialty.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical development experience; minimum 3 years in industry.
• Experience with diagnostic imaging modalities and biomarker science.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of integrated clinical development programs for diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals in oncology, immunology and cardiovascular diseases.
• Define clinical strategies, endpoints, patient populations, and imaging criteria for each development phase.
• Design studies to evaluate diagnostic accuracy, imaging timing, biomarkers, and comparison to standard imaging.
• Serve as scientific expert in molecular imaging modalities (PET, SPECT, CT, MRI) with translational applications.
• Analyze imaging data (PET/CT, SPECT/CT) and interpret biomarkers for patient stratification and monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians, scientists, medical physicists, and external partners; lead cross-functional projects.
