Job summary

The Hertz Corporation is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its finance team in the United States. You will research complex transactions, ensure GAAP compliance, and coordinate with auditors and FP&A to support quarterly and annual filings.

This role offers a salary range of $180,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience, with the possibility of remote work and a path to leadership within the finance organization.

Qualifications

• Big 4 audit experience and 5–8 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SEC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal partners on complex transactions to ensure proper accounting.
• Inform management on new accounting and regulatory standards (SEC, FASB, IASB).
• Review external financial reporting documents (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, S-1, 8-K, Prospectus).
• Work with external financial reporting to compile and validate information for 10-Q and 10-K.
• Research technical accounting matters and author memos.
• Communicate policy and technical matters to the organization, including senior management.
• Evaluate complex business transactions for proper accounting treatment.
• Interact with internal and external auditors on technical matters.
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end reconciliations and journal entries.
• Ensure all financial information is reflected in the general ledger per GAAP.
• Direct team members in significant account analysis.
• Adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policies, audit procedures.
• Provide insight to FP&A for monthly forecasts and annual plan.
• Cultivate an environment for productivity and teamwork; meet deadlines.
• Preferred in Altana, GA / Estero, FL or OKC, but open to remote.
