Erickson Senior Living is a national provider of senior living and health care headquartered in Baltimore, MD. We seek a Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead a skilled team, guide complex accounting matters, and ensure timely audited financial statements and disclosures for our home office and communities.

You will drive policy development, internal controls, and regulatory compliance while partnering with internal and external auditors to address findings and advance

Competenze

• Minimum of 7 years in accounting and financial reporting with the last 5+ years in a management/supervisory role.
• Current CPA required.
• Experience at an audit/CPA firm a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Mansioni

• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing supervision, leadership, and support to drive high-performance and professional development.
• Oversee the preparation of all internal and external monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable regulatory or contractual requirements.
• Lead research for technical accounting matters relating to material transactions and contracts.
• Oversee the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure compliance with changes in regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit and ensure adherence to audit requirements; address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide technical guidance to finance and accounting teams on complex accounting issues.
