Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting to manage consolidated financial statements across a multi-entity nonprofit structure, ensuring accurate disclosures under US GAAP. Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentation.
• Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting processes.
• Consolidation experience in a multi-entity environment; JV or majority/minority interests preferred.
• Experience supporting external audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual and interim standalone and consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, statements of operations, changes in net assets or equity, cash flows, and related footnote disclosures.
• Compile, validate, and reconcile financial data from the general ledger and supporting source systems.
• Prepare consolidation schedules, noncontrolling interest calculations, equity method schedules, and consolidated cash flow statements.
• Maintain financial statement workpapers, disclosure checklists, roll-forward schedules, and other recurring reporting documentation.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate unusual balances and period-over-period changes.
• Coordinate with corporate accounting and community finance teams to obtain information for reporting.
• Prepare audit support schedules and respond to auditor requests; maintain organized documentation.
• Apply US GAAP guidance to routine reporting and escalate complex questions to Technical Accounting leadership.
• Assist with internal management, lender, owner, and regulatory reporting requirements and ad hoc requests.
• Support process improvements and standardization of templates and controls.
