Job summary

GeneDx in Gaithersburg, MD seeks a Sr Director of Supply Chain for the Commercial Production Lab to lead demand and supply planning, inventory, procurement, warehousing, and logistics. You will partner with Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and external providers to ensure uninterrupted patient testing while optimizing cost and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Logistics, Finance or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience leading cross-functional supply chain teams.
• Expertise in demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy for Commercial Production Lab operations, ensuring material availability, service, quality, compliance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
• Lead the SIOP process, integrating demand forecasts, supply plans, inventory strategies, capacity considerations, and business objectives.
• Provide strategic oversight of demand planning, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and third-party kit fulfillment operations.
• Establish and lead supplier, logistics, and external partner strategies, including supplier qualification, performance management, contract oversight, continuity planning, and executive relationships.
• Ensure continuity of supply through risk management, business continuity planning, and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Accounting, and external providers to align supply chain capabilities with requirements and standards.
