Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis invites a seasoned leader to direct the development and management of Student Academic Affairs within the College Office.

This senior role reports to the Vice Dean of Undergraduate Affairs and coordinates with Admissions, Finance, and academic units. The Director will oversee five functional areas, mentor senior deans, align programs with strategic priorities, and drive initiatives such as Literacies for Life and Career to enhance student success and diversity

Qualifications

• Experience leading college-wide initiatives and programs.
• Demonstrated ability to align academic programs with strategic priorities.
• Strong collaboration with admissions and academic units.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and oversight of SAA activities and personnel.
• Direct programs across five SAA areas: advising, success, policies, and pre-health.
• Mentor senior associate deans and build leadership skills.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects and align with strategic priorities.
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, and professional development of SAA staff.
• Partner with Admissions to develop undergraduate recruitment strategy.
• Collaborate with Communications to support marketing and messaging.
• Advise ~15 students per class as a four-year advisor.
• Represent the College in university committees and with campus partners.
