Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks a Director of University Partnerships to steward strategic university collaborations (SUPER) and other partners. You will lead executive-level engagement with senior university leaders and coordinate across the Laboratory to align partnerships with research priorities and mission impact.

The role requires a deep track record in scholarly collaboration, sponsored programs, and multi-stakeholder leadership, including negotiations and strategic development.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in research leadership or closely related field.
• Demonstrated record of engaging with senior academic leaders (VPs/Provosts, Deans, chairs).
• Experience building and stewarding multi-stakeholder relationships across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the Laboratory and SUPER and other university partners.
• Maintain a coherent view of the portfolio with each partner institution, including collaborations and engagements.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies tailored to partner strengths and priorities.
• Coordinate university engagement across Laboratory portfolios and leadership.
• Oversee negotiations, renewals, and stewardship of partnership agreements.
• Develop metrics and provide regular reporting on partnership health and impact.
