Job summary

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks an inaugural Associate Laboratory Director for Innovation, Science, and Security to lead a broad portfolio of fundamental and applied programs. You will work closely with the Laboratory Director and Leadership Team to advance priorities and ensure operational excellence across ISS and user facilities.

Qualifications

PhD in a relevant science or technology field with fifteen plus years of related experience.
At least ten years of demonstrated management experience leading complex, multidisciplinary programs.
Proven ability to develop and execute scientific strategy with critical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow Brookhaven's ISS Directorate and steward user facilities.
Oversee relationships with DOE program sponsors and other agencies.
Drive strategic initiatives in quantum, AI for grid, isotope R&D, fusion, and national security.
Partner with DOE labs, academia, and industry to advance science focus areas.
Maintain safety culture and implement operations, safety, and performance programs.
