Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Director, Strategic Contracts to lead complex supplier negotiations and contract administration. You will partner with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Procurement to minimize risk and maximize value for Fidelity.

You will advise senior leaders, influence stakeholders, and drive contract strategy across the business units, vendors, and external partners, while maintaining executive presence and delivering results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; JD strongly preferred.
• 8-10 years of equivalent experience in advanced legal studies or purchasing, including complex contract negotiations.
• Proactive management of key business partner relationships.
• Ability to influence executives with fact-based decision support.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven collaboration across Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Vendor Management.

**Job Title:** **Director, Strategic Contracts****Note: Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position****The Role**The role of Director, Strategic Contracts, provides industry specific expertise and strategic and tactical direction in the development, negotiation, management, and administration of complex and highly visible supplier contract negotiations for Fidelity's Procurement organization. This role will be responsible for helping lead collaboration and partnership with business unit partners, legal, risk, compliance, and other operational subject matter experts across the organization to minimize risk and optimize value to Fidelity. The purpose of your role is to become a trusted advisor to your business partners, counsel Fidelity leaders on contract and risk decisions, and fulfill business partner needs quickly, effectively, and in the best interest of the firm.**The Expertise and Skills You Bring*** Bachelor’s degree; JD strongly preferred. 8-10 years of equivalent experience of advanced legal studies or purchasing, including complex contract negotiations* Proactive management and development of key business partner relationships* Ability to work well under pressure* Solid understanding of complex contracting models and the ability to negotiate and provide guidance across both standard and non-standard contracts* Ability to influence business stakeholders and senior executives through fact-based decision support* Experience working with leaders at all levels, from project managers to the C-Suite* Creative, flexible, and able to handle ambiguity* Exhibits strong executive presence and confident working with all organizational levels* Strong relationship management capabilities that will get you a seat at the leadership table of our key business stakeholders (ex.
