Exelon seeks a senior policy and government affairs leader to direct relations with state constitutional officers, legislators and regulatory bodies. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams to advance company objectives and prepare persuasive analyses on legislation.

The candidate will represent Exelon in state and national trade associations, sponsor events, and lead teams to defeat or modify harmful legislative proposals. Travel to Springfield is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant field.
• In lieu of degree, 15–20 years of experience acceptable.
• Proven ability to analyze, interpret and present data.
• Broad knowledge of utility operations, economics, regulatory and legislative processes.
• Experience leading teams and managing long-term projects.

Aufgaben

• Lead state legislative initiatives and interface with the General Assembly, executive branch and agencies.
• Coordinate positions with department SMEs for legislation filed in the General Assembly.
• Oversee communications with policymakers and contract lobbyists.
• Coordinate philanthropic and political events and fundraises to support the company's reputation.
• Support PAC strategy and represent ComEd at events.
• Prepare and distribute reports on legislative activities and initiatives.
