Job summary

Iridium Communications Inc seeks an experienced Associate Director, Program Management for a Space Development Agency project. The role leads a team to deliver complex technical programs, establish strategic plans, and ensure financial and contractual performance.

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph eligibility is required for this role, working within a hybrid environment with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or science or related field.
• 12+ years of USG development/operational program management experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in management of complex technical projects, preferably DoD/IC satellite programs.
• 5-7 years of classical engineering experience.
• Experience leading Scaled Agile projects.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to convey complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Foster and develop a highly effective program management team to execute the program’s technical vision and meet objectives.
• Mentor and train the team, provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Work with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans and objectives for the program.
• Manage coordination of multiple complex assignments within timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Ensure projects meet financial targets and contract deliverables.
• Demonstrate expertise in program management and risk/issue resolution.
• Lead proposal development and execution for future contracts and briefings to leadership.
