Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a senior operations leader to drive the financial and operational execution for high‑volume fabrication teams. You will oversee Machining, Fluids Systems, Avionics, Coatings, TPS, and COPV work, guiding a multidisciplinary team toward safe, efficient spaceflight production.

You will report to the Explorer Facility's Sr. Director of Operations and lead efforts to scale production, improve throughput, and ensure compliance with mission assurance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and drive change.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma background.
• Experience designing and improving integrated manufacturing systems.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead high‑volume manufacturing operations across fabrication areas.
• Drive cost‑efficient, high‑quality performance for space vehicle production.
• Implement throughput improvements and supplier on‑time delivery.
• Develop and share best practices across Explorer Facility operations.
• Champion safety and first‑time quality throughout the organization.
• Coach and develop leaders and teams at all levels.
• Lead data‑driven improvements with lean methods and MES/PLM use.
