Clarivate Analytics in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple development teams across a broad program, aligning Content, Product Tech, DevOps, and AI efforts.

You will oversee the designs and may develop prototype/actual code, review requirements, and manage unit testing, while presenting status updates to senior leaders. The role emphasizes disciplined processes and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in MIS/Info Systems/CS/EE or related discipline with 10+ years in software.
10+ years as a software engineer building commercial software.
8+ years with Java and back-end design.
8+ years with one of MySQL/SQL Server/Oracle/PostgreSQL.
7+ years leading software engineering teams and defining tests.
5+ years in Agile/Scrum, SaaS delivery, and AWS.
5+ years translating requirements into system design with product/business teams.
Experience with Lucid Charts, Figma, Jira, ExtJS, Angular, Dojo.
Experience building Microservices, SOAP, REST (Java/NodeJS).
Knowledge of ML/NLP including entity extraction, data mining, sentiment analysis.
Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Lead development teams and coordinate with Content, Product Tech, DevOps, and AI groups.
Oversee designs, prototype code, review requirements, and unit testing.
Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior leaders.
Ensure modules follow disciplined processes and industry best practices.
