Job summary

WellMed, part of the Optum family, seeks a Director of Social Work to lead Enterprise operations for outpatient Social Work and Behavioral Health within Care Management. You will direct staffing, policy development, compliance with NCQA/CMS, and collaboration with physicians and leadership to ensure high-quality care.

You will report to the VP of Care Management and guide long-range planning, training, and program delivery to meet regulatory and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in behavioral sciences; bachelor’s in Social Work preferred.
• 10+ years of social work experience with at least 5 years in management.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for end-to-end social work/behavioral health processes.
• Oversees compliance with NCQA, URAC and CMS guidelines.
• Leads managers and staff, shaping strategy and operations.
• Develops policies and drives program improvement.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure program success.
