Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Director to rationalize the security vendor and technology portfolio and bring strategic discipline to how we invest in, build, buy, and manage security capabilities across the organization.

This individual contributor role partners with security, procurement, finance, and business leaders to align technology strategy with organizational priorities and budget, and establish governance, metrics, and reporting to track portfolio health over time.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security technology strategy, vendor management, or related domain.
• Experience leading portfolio rationalization or large-scale consolidation efforts.
• Ability to build decision frameworks and repeatable processes.

Responsibilities

• Rationalize the current portfolio of security vendors, identifying overlap, consolidation opportunities, and gaps to reduce complexity, cost, and risk.
• Develop a security economics practice that drives cost clarity on tools, including unit costs for vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Build repeatable decision frameworks and lightweight tooling for investment, divestment, build, and buy decisions across the security stack.
• Partner with security, procurement, finance, and business leaders to align technology strategy with organizational priorities and budget; establish governance, metrics, and reporting to track portfolio health over time.
