Job summary

Vertex Education is seeking a Sr. Director of Client Services for School Finance to serve as the primary strategic advisor for a portfolio of key school partners.

Based in Albuquerque, NM, you will lead a team of finance professionals, expand our client base, and ensure strong client satisfaction and compliant, data-driven financial solutions. You will translate complex funding data for boards, drive renewal and upsell conversations, and oversee onboarding for new partners while maintaining high

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in K-12 school finance, with deep NM funding knowledge.
• 5+ years of experience managing client-facing teams delivering financial services.
• Proven track record as a strategic financial advisor to school leaders and boards.
• Experience retaining and expanding a portfolio of client accounts.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead Business Manager for key school partners, translating financial data into strategic insights.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with school leaders and boards to drive retention.
• Lead recurring strategic financial reviews with budgets, forecasts, and compliance updates.
• Identify and resolve complex financial challenges related to New Mexico funding and regulations.
• Oversee onboarding and service delivery for new school partners and escalate high-stakes client issues.
