Carter’s Inc. is seeking a senior ecommerce leader to own the Amazon strategy for multiple brands, driving growth and optimizing profitability.

You will partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to align on priorities and maximize ROI across Vendor Central and related channels. The role requires 8+ years in Amazon/ecommerce, strong analytics, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long-term Amazon strategy across all assigned brands and categories with full P&L accountability.
  • Set vision for annual planning, product assortment, promotions, and sustainable growth; translate objectives into clear priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Merchandising, Brand Marketing, Growth Media, Creative, Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Direct Amazon retail media and digital marketing strategy (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display) and set performance targets.
  • Synthesize performance trends and market insights to inform pricing, content, and assortment decisions.
  • Oversee forecasting in partnership with Demand Planning and Supply Chain; manage inventory health and replenishment standards.
  • Establish KPI frameworks and reporting cadences for leadership visibility.
  • Drive post-promotion analysis and translate learnings into improvements; sponsor high-priority projects.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

70%: Amazon Business Leadership & Growth

  • Define and execute the long-term Amazon strategy across all assigned brands and categories, holding full P&L accountability for sales, profit, and market share performance.
  • Set the vision for annual planning, product assortment, promotional strategy, and sustainable growth, translating business objectives into clear priorities for the team.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for Amazon Vendor Managers and key internal stakeholders, building relationships that open doors and create competitive advantage.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Merchandising, Brand Marketing, Growth Media, Creative, Operations, and Supply Chain — ensuring teams are resourced, focused, and moving in the same direction.
  • Direct Amazon retail media and digital marketing strategy (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display), setting performance expectations and guiding the team toward traffic, conversion, and ROI targets.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by synthesizing performance trends, competitive intelligence, and market insights to inform strategic decisions on pricing, content, promotions, and assortment.
  • Influence senior leadership, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders to build consensus and accelerate growth.

30%: Operations, Forecasting & Analytics

  • Oversee the development of accurate, forward-looking sales forecasts (weekly through annual) in close partnership with Demand Planning and Supply Chain, ensuring alignment across the organization.
  • Hold accountability for inventory health, setting standards for replenishment and in-stock performance that protect revenue and customer experience.
  • Establish KPI frameworks and reporting cadences that give leadership clear visibility into business performance and emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Champion best-in-class use of Vendor Central and analytics platforms, setting expectations for how data informs decisions across the team.
  • Drive post-promotion analysis and translate learnings into actionable improvements for future planning cycles.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that scale the business, strengthen forecasting accuracy, and raise the bar on account management.
  • Sponsor and guide high-priority special projects, providing strategic direction and removing obstacles for the team.

Must Have

  • 8+ years managing Amazon/ecommerce businesses in apparel, fashion, or consumer products
  • Experience running a high-volume Amazon 1P business (Vendor Central, trade management)
  • Strong ability to influence partners and build relationships
  • Advanced analytical and forecasting skills; able to turn data into action
  • Proven success driving growth and negotiating complex agreements
  • Strong decision-making, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communicator, able to present to leadership
  • Able to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience with Amazon Retail Media and digital marketing
  • Knowledge of ecommerce merchandising and digital shelf
  • Cross-functional experience (Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Planning)
  • Strong negotiation and troubleshooting abilities
