Job summary

BerQ RNG Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Business Operations – Mixed Waste to lead our Bloomington, California facility.

You will drive safe, reliable, and financially responsible operations, directing on-site teams and coordinating with executive leadership across departments. The role demands deep expertise in mixed-waste processing, anaerobic digestion, biogas/RNG operations, and capital planning, with hands-on leadership to optimize plant performance and safety.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in mixed-waste, anaerobic digestion, biogas, RNG, or related operations.
• Hands-on experience with mixed-waste operations is required.
• Proven experience managing operating sites and leading site-based operations teams.
• Strong understanding of facility infrastructure, equipment layout, and capital investment impact on operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the Facility and on-site teams, defining priorities, P&L, and performance expectations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safe, reliable, and financially responsible performance.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance including audits and training.
• Lead digester health, feedstock management, and process performance for gas production and reliability.
• Identify, prioritize, and support capital improvement projects to enhance safety, reliability, and financial performance.
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, Maintenance & Reliability, and Finance to implement capital projects and ensure smooth transition to operations.
