Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead patient safety initiatives and risk reduction across the facility. The role requires planning, oversight of claim management, and collaboration with executives to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, 5–7 years in risk management, and at least 3 years of leadership experience; a Master's degree and CPHRM are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.
• Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in Risk Management required.
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience in related field required, acute care experience preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee claim management functions including investigation and analysis.
• Perform risk assessments for new services and risk-reduction initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analyses and track action plans across the system.
• Manage the Patient Safety Council and integrate corporate risk programs.
• Collaborate with department directors and the executive team on regulatory and compliance standards.
