Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks a Senior Director of Respiratory Therapy to provide strategic leadership for Respiratory Care, Sleep Diagnostics, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation across adult, women’s, and children’s services. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or a related field.
• Professional licensure/certification as Respiratory Therapist (NBRC/US NBRC).
• Minimum 5 years of experience with 3 years in leadership roles.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term strategies for respiratory therapy and related programs.
• Manage daily operations across Respiratory Care, Sleep Diagnostics, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Outpatient clinics.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Promote evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement.
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate care.
• Facilitate communication across departments to support integrated service delivery.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, vendors, and community partners.
• Represent the department in hospital committees and leadership forums.
• Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and optimize resource utilization.
• Lead cost-containment and efficiency initiatives.
• Lead performance improvement projects and data-driven decision-making.
• Implement innovations in care delivery and technology adoption.
