Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license by Florida Board of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current BLS certification.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with supervisory/management exposure.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations; familiarity with respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee twenty-four hour respiratory therapy operations, clinical practice, and quality of care.
• Ensure patient assessment and therapy is appropriate, accurate, and patient-specific.
• Maintain documentation of care that is timely and complete.
• Contribute to continuity of care via interdisciplinary team approach.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, and healthcare team on progress and discharge planning.
• Educate staff on reporting significant medical errors or adverse outcomes.
