Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for the Associate Dean of Research and Innovation (ADIR) within the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences. The ADRI will lead the college’s research strategy, secure external funding, and oversee research infrastructure and compliance, reporting to the Dean and serving on the College Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate holds a doctoral degree, has extensive funded research experience, and proven administrative leadership.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in a discipline aligned with the college
• Five years of experience in funded research
• Experience leading research programs and administrative oversight

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development and mentoring initiatives for junior faculty
• Provide leadership and oversight for research enrichment activities
• Assist faculty with managing research budgets and programs
• Evaluate research center opportunities and promote interdisciplinary research
• Collaborate with the Division of Research on research administration and compliance
• Work with grant administrators to support proposal development and post-award management
