Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Senior Director, Renewable Development to manage utility-scale solar, energy storage, and wind projects in the Southwestern United States. This role can be based in the Portland or Denver offices and requires leadership across development stages.

You will secure site control, coordinate permits and interconnections, manage budgets and schedules, and represent the company with landowners and officials. Travel is anticipated 25–40% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ experience in renewable and clean energy.
  • Willing to travel 25–40% and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s in business or engineering; MBA a plus.
  • Strong organizational, networking, leadership, time management and accounting skills.
  • Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to write effective, concise reports.
  • Familiarity with solar project development, real estate development, transmission and power project engineering is advantageous.

Job Description
Position Overview

As a Senior Director, Renewable Development, you will manage the development of utility-scale solar, energy storage, and wind energy projects in the Southwestern United States. This position will be in our Portland or Denver offices.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage wind, solar, and/or energy storage projects in Nevada, Utah, and/or Arizona Lead development activities in early, mid, and/or late stages of the project.

  • Align projects with long-term company strategy and initiatives Identify development prospects, including market assessments, fatal flaw identification and initial site reconnaissance.

  • Secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners.

  • Coordinate landowner communication efforts.

  • Take a lead role in obtaining certain local, state and/or federal permits Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholders.

  • Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities.

Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s Degree 10+ years’ work experience in the renewable and clean energy industry or relevant experience

  • Travel as needed, anticipated 25% - 40% of the time Valid driver’s license

  • Preferred Skills

Base Pay

$225,000.00 - $255,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 25% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education and skills.
