Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking an Associate, Renewable Development to support utility-scale solar, storage, and wind projects across Colorado and Wyoming. You will advance opportunities, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with landowners and consultants.

Requirements include a BS/BA and 3–5 years in renewable energy, plus travel ~25% and a valid driver’s license. Competitive base pay with bonus and comprehensive benefits. This is a full-time role located in the Denver area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college program.
  • 3–5 years of work experience in renewable/clean energy.
  • Strong organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and accounting skills.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Travel anticipated up to 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Advance solar/wind/storage projects by solving problems and managing budgets, schedules, and financial models.
  • Identify development prospects and conduct initial site reconnaissance.
  • Negotiate leases, easements, and other landowner agreements; manage ongoing communications.
  • Coordinate activities with 3rd party consultants for site studies (environmental, topographical, geotechnical).
  • Work with cross-functional groups for site assessments and due diligence.
  • Initiate and manage interconnection activities; understand power markets and trends.
  • Develop strategy for attending community meetings and represent Invenergy with stakeholders.
  • Secure local, state, and/or federal permits.

Position Overview

As an Associate, Renewable Development, you will support the development of utility‑scale solar, storage, and wind energy projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

Responsibilities
  • Advance existing and new solar/wind/storage projects by problem solving and managing budgets, schedules, and financial models.
  • Identify development prospects and use critical thinking to conduct initial site reconnaissance.
  • Secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners; manage ongoing landowner communications.
  • Use project management skills to coordinate activities with 3rd Party Consultants for site studies including environmental, topographical, and geotechnical analysis.
  • Work with cross-functional groups to conduct site assessments, fatal flaw analyses, and other due diligence.
  • Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities; understand power markets and trends.
  • Develop and implement strategy for attending community meetings and represent Invenergy with customers, landowners, state and local officials, and other stakeholders.
  • Secure certain local, state and/or federal permits.
Required Skills
  • A BS or BA from an accredited college program.
  • 3–5 years of work experience in renewable and/or clean energy industry or relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and accounting skills.
  • Strong communication and personal skills.
  • Ability to write effectively and concisely.
  • Travel as needed, anticipated 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with energy project development, real estate development, transmission and power project engineering are advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in land, environment, permitting or development.
Base Pay

$98,000 – $125,000 USD Annual

Bonus: 20% – 30%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education and skills.
