Job summary

Invenergy LLC, North America’s largest privately held developer of power infrastructure, seeks a Senior Analyst, Renewable Development to support utility-scale wind and solar projects across the United States. Based in Chicago or remote within US, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to advance projects and manage risk.

You will evaluate prospects, secure site control, assist permitting, interconnection, and financial modeling while engaging with landowners and officials to communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of renewable/clean energy experience.
• U.S. work eligibility (no visa sponsorship needed).
• Ability to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Support development of solar, storage, and wind projects in the U.S.
• Identify development prospects, including site reconnaissance.
• Help secure site control via leases, easements, and agreements with landowners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for due diligence and risk reduction.
• Support interconnection activities and government/landowner interfaces.
• Assist with permitting, tax abatements, and discretionary approvals.
• Coordinate with legal, engineering, environmental, interconnection, and construction teams.
• Contribute to financial models and project scheduling.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, and officials.

Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Analyst, Renewable Development will support the development of utility-scale wind and solar energy projects throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support development of individual solar, storage, and/or wind projects in the United States.
• Identify development prospects, including fatal flaw identification and initial site reconnaissance.
• Help secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners.
• Work with cross functional teams to conduct due diligence and reduce development risk.
• Support generation interconnection activities.
• Interface with government officials, neighbors, and the public to establish positive relationships and effectively communicate project objectives, benefits, and details.
• Support efforts to obtain project permits, tax abatements and other discretionary approvals.
• Coordinate internal and external support from legal, engineering, environmental, interconnection, and construction teams.
• Contribute to financial models and schedule.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 2 years of experience within the renewable/clean energy industry or relevant experience.
• Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel, PPT, and SharePoint.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to travel up to 40%

Base Pay

$72,000.00 - 88,000.00 USD Annual

Bonus: 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
