X-Bow Launch Systems, Inc. is seeking a Director of Programs and Engineering to lead the Defense Systems Sector, bridging technical excellence with program execution.

You will oversee multiple rocket motor development and production programs from initial customer interaction through final delivery while guiding SRM Engineering teams to innovate on accelerated timelines. This senior role reports to the VP of Solid Rocket Motor Programs and Production and requires strategic leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or related).
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 10–12 years of progressive experience in aerospace/defense.
• 5–7 years in leadership roles
• Experience managing complex, multi-million dollar programs
• Strong technical expertise in solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing
• Experience with government contracting and defense regulations (ITAR)

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for integrated program management and engineering operations across the Defense Systems Sector.
• Direct and oversee multiple rocket motor development and production programs simultaneously.
• Provide technical leadership for SRM Engineering and SRM Mechanical Engineering teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams across multiple program areas and production.
• Communicate status and risks to executives and government partners; represent X-Bow in reviews and forums.
• Identify and mitigate program and technical risks; manage budget and resources.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and quality requirements; oversee testing and validation.
