Job summary

X-Bow Launch Systems, Inc. seeks a Director of Programs and Engineering to lead the Defense Systems Sector, overseeing program management and engineering across multiple SRM programs.

Reporting to the VP, you will set strategic direction, manage budgets, align engineering capabilities with program needs, and drive timely, compliant deliverables in a fast-paced defense environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field) required.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
• 10–12 years aerospace/defense experience; 5–7 years in leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for integrated program management and engineering operations.
• Direct and oversee multiple rocket motor development and production programs simultaneously.
• Provide technical leadership for SRM Engineering and SRM Mechanical Engineering teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams across multiple programs and functions.
• Represent X-Bow at customer meetings, technical reviews, and industry forums.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate strategic and technical risks across the portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Manage budgets and resources for programs and engineering functions.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the organization.
