Job summary

Priority Power Management is seeking a Sr. Director to lead the project development of our infrastructure product line.

This role focuses on building a pipeline of private electrical infrastructure (transmission, substation, distribution, microgrid) for major industrial and commercial clients. The successful candidate will manage all development efforts, including land, permitting, interconnection, budgets, and stakeholder coordination, and may travel 50% to other offices and sites.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of project management and/or development experience in utility-scale electrical infrastructure (transmission, substations, distribution).
• Wind, solar, micro grid and energy storage knowledge; familiarity with ERCOT and other markets desirable.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and develop a pipeline of utility-class private electrical infrastructure projects including transmission, substation, distribution and/or microgrid.
• Lead and manage all project development from origination through to construction commencement.
• Eventually lead a growing team of project managers.
• Develop and manage project development schedules and budgets.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage contract obligations in key project documents.
• Lead project permitting including permit strategy and hearings as required.
• Coordinate site/environmental studies, surveys, and diligence reports.
• Coordinate ALTA surveys and title reports.
• Lead Interconnection process from application to interconnection agreements.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams through progress stages.
• Coordinate with construction management on permits and contractor selection.
• Handoff fully developed projects to construction management.
• Participate in project financings and provide required diligence documents.
• Coordinate additional resources or outside consultants and manage expenses.
• Communicate risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to teams.
