Elwyn is seeking a Senior Director Principal to serve as the chief administrator and instructional leader of the school. This role ensures educational programs align with Elwyn’s vision, policies, and all state and federal regulations, while directing daily school operations and maintaining a positive climate for students and staff.

The role requires PDE Principal Certification, PDE Special Education certification, and extensive experience in teaching and supervising in special education.

Competenze

• PDE Principal Certification is required.
• PDE certification in Special Education or a specific area of Special Education (e.g. Autism) is required.
• Five (5) years of teaching experience in special education.
• Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a public or private school leading special education services.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with collective bargaining units.

Mansioni

• Act as chief administrator and instructional leader of the school, ensuring programs comply with Elwyn vision and state/federal regulations.
• Oversee PDE regulatory requirements and licensing compliance across education services.
• Provide guidance on special education best practices and legal requirements, including writing IEPs.
• Supervise staff through observations and feedback to ensure high-quality instruction.
• Manage staffing ratios and recruit to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Coach staff in instruction and classroom management to support best practices.
• Ensure safety, data reporting to PDE and districts, and adherence to school policies.
