Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking an Executive Director of Special Education and Exceptional Learners to lead K–12 programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering innovative educational strategies. You will serve on the division leadership team and report to the Chief Academic Officer.

The role requires a Master’s degree in education, a license in Administration and Supervision, and extensive district-wide experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in special education or related field and five to seven years in district-wide administration preferred.
  • Postgraduate license endorsed in Administration and Supervision is required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-K to 12 special education programs and services for exceptional learners.
  • Partner with external agencies to enhance compliant educational services.
  • Direct staff training for special education teachers and instructional staff.
  • Oversee resource allocation and program budgeting for districts' needs.
  • Monitor legislative changes and advise on policy adjustments.
  • Supervise departmental operations and gifted program leadership.
