The Weitz Company is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Director to lead our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is pivotal in providing outstanding customer service through effective preconstruction services across projects.

The Director will manage the preconstruction department, ensure proper staffing, and collaborate with Business Development. They are responsible for strategic direction and oversight of all preconstruction efforts, from estimating to risk management, while fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Ten years of extensive estimating and/or project management construction experience is required.
• Experience in a fast-paced business environment is helpful.
• Proven history of leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring others is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate contribution to the preconstruction process.
