The Senior Director – Practice Operations, Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL) is a senior operational leader responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for ambulatory Cardiology practices while also advancing integrated operational strategies across the broader Cardiovascular Service Line.

The Senior Director has direct leadership responsibility for Cardiology Practice Operations and its operational leaders and serves in a leadership dyad with the Senior Medical Director for Ambulatory Cardiology. In addition, the Senior Director develops and maintains strong matrixed working relationships with the operational and physician leaders of Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Pediatric Congenital Heart to advance shared CVSL priorities and create a more integrated cardiovascular system of care.

A primary focus of the role is translating CVSL strategy into scalable, coordinated operational models across specialties, practices, hospitals, and regions. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and operationalization of integrated approaches to cardiovascular imaging, centralized referral management and scheduling, patient access, virtual care, workforce optimization, clinical program development, and other shared services and infrastructure that support the entire Cardiovascular Service Line.

As a member of the CVSL senior leadership team, the Senior Director is a significant contributor to strategic planning, business development, growth, access, financial performance, workforce planning, quality, patient experience, and operational transformation. The role requires the ability to lead both through direct accountability and through influence across complex organizational structures.

This position will be based in Portland, with the expectation of traveling to various locations throughout Maine and New Hampshire on a quarterly basis.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: Five years progressive and relevant healthcare management experience. Experience as a member of a senior leadership team may be required. Extensive physician hospital practice integration and applicable program development experience preferred.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Experience with Rural Health Clinic regulatory requirements. Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home and Patient Centered Specialty Practice designation. Travel between sites may be required.

The pay range for this position is $142,792.00to $193,211.20per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
