Job summary

PGIM, the global asset manager, is seeking an Investment Professional to source, underwrite, and manage investments in power generation assets with a North America and international focus. You’ll lead a team within Real Assets - Power, driving deal flow and portfolio management from Newark, NJ.

You will collaborate with lawyers on financing documents and interact with clients, sponsors, and intermediaries to execute transactions that align with strategic power investments and risk/return

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power project and utility finance, with focus on project finance structuring and documentation.
• Track record of closing deals from origination to close, with lawyers on docs.
• Excellent presentation and senior-management communication skills.
• Strong investment analysis and debt investment track record.
• Proven ability to develop business with new and existing clients.

Responsibilities

• Source private placement senior debt and mezzanine investments ($25–$250+ million) directly or via intermediaries.
• Supervise and develop junior investment professionals.
• Generate deal flow by maintaining relationships with clients, sponsors, intermediaries and advisors.
• Manage a portfolio of power investments across projects, portfolios, utilities, and cooperatives.
• Negotiate financing documents with lawyers and coordinate with senior leadership to meet objectives.
