Job summary

Irvine Company Apartment Communities, a division of Irvine Company, seeks a Senior Director, Project Management - Environmental Remediation Restoration to lead the San Diego regional team overseeing remediation and reconstruction projects.

You will drive operational excellence, manage budgets and regulatory compliance, and partner with Facilities, Risk Management, Legal, and governance to mitigate future property damage and preserve assets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, facilities, or engineering.
• 7+ years leading and developing high-performing cross-functional teams.
• CAL OSHA 10-hour certification or higher.
• PMP or Construction Management certification preferred.
• IICRC certification preferred.
• Ability to work on-site at properties ~60% of the time.
• Proficiency in as-built plan reading.
• Experience with Salesforce, Coupa, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional team of Project Managers with clear KPIs and performance reviews.
• Own SOPs and manage project management tool setup and configuration.
• Track regional project performance and perform root cause analysis with cross-functional partners.
• Manage pollution claims and insurance incidents ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Ensure project compliance by tracking milestones and conducting site walks.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow with strict accounting controls.
• Optimize vendor performance by aligning partners to properties and onboarding new ones.
