Job summary

WSP in Irvine, California is seeking a Vice President, Environmental Geologist to lead our Site Investigation & Remediation (SIR) team. The role involves consulting, selling, managing and implementing multi‑media remediation programs for clients across industrial, government, energy, oil & gas, and transportation sectors.

You will drive business development in California and the West, mentor staff, oversee projects and budgets, and collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 15+ years of environmental remediation and sales experience.
• Self-starter, team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Experience working with California regulatory agencies (e.g., RWQCB, DTSC).
• Proven consulting experience with contaminated soils/groundwater and multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Ability to mentor staff and manage budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the environmental discipline within the SIR team.
• Lead business development across Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation sectors.
• Oversee staff and project teams to ensure deliverables meet timelines and budgets.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals and contribute to client relationship management.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary professionals to deliver future-ready environmental solutions.
