As Senior Director, Platform Governance & Compliance, you will set the governance, risk, and compliance strategy for the FICO platform and serve as its credentialed authority on platform administration, access controls, and auditability across enterprise deployments. As a hands‑on leader, you will own the governance product vision and FICO’s regulatory posture, represent that strategy to executive leadership, customers, regulators and auditors, and build the team that executes it.
What You'll Contribute
- Own and evolve the platform's governance product strategy across its three pillars - Governance, Control, and Administration - aligning with business goals, customer needs, and the evolving regulatory landscape, with particular emphasis on the financial services risk and regulatory environment our platform operates within.
- Champion the three-part controls model - prevent it, decide it, prove it stays right - and drive enterprise-wide adoption across platform services and leadership stakeholders.
- Act as the primary bridge to C‑suite, legal, and risk stakeholders - keeping governance conversations productive and release schedules on track.
- Represent governance and compliance capabilities directly in strategic customer engagements, vendor risk assessments, and security questionnaires at the executive level - with credibility that resonates with financial services customers.
- Set and defend the risk‑adjusted prioritization framework (e.g., RICE, WSJF) that balances commercial growth against compliance mandates and regulatory exposure - the final decision‑maker on trade‑offs between the two.
- Manage and mentor the Platform Governance & Compliance team, setting priorities and reviewing execution quality across PRDs, epics, and audit‑readiness work.
- Bring working fluency in financial services requirements (e.g., GLBA, model risk management practices) to guide platform strategy - engaging directly with regulators and auditors when needed.
- Define the KPIs that measure governance, control, and administration effectiveness at the platform level, and report on them to executive leadership.
What we’re Seeking
- In-depth experience in Platform Product Management or Governance/Compliance leadership, with substantial expertise in Financial Services (banking, lending, credit decisioning, or consumer finance) required; additional experience within Enterprise SaaS, Security, Cloud Infrastructure, or other regulated industries (HealthTech, GovTech) a plus.
- Demonstrated track record shaping governance strategy within financial services or another regulated industry.
- A recognized, credentialed name in the governance, compliance, or financial‑regulatory community - established through public speaking, published thought leadership, regulatory or industry board participation, or prior senior regulatory/executive roles — bringing immediate external credibility to the position.
- Executive presence: proven ability to represent governance strategy to C‑suite, boards, and customers.
- Strong grounding in identity and security architecture (RBAC/ABAC, MFA, SSO, encryption standards) sufficient to set strategy and evaluate team output, though day‑day technical execution sits with the Director.
- Relevant industry credentials (e.g., CISSP, CIPP, CRCM) are a plus, though not required.
- Extensive experience in building or mentoring product management teams.
- Bachelor's/ Masters degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications strongly preferred.
